iRead4Skills project stands out at the European Corner of the European Researchers’ Night in Oeiras
On 27 September 2024, the iRead4Skills project took part in the European Researchers’ Night, which took place at the Oeiras Marina. As part of the European Corner, the project, which includes researcher Ricardo Monteiro, was presented as one of the initiatives funded by Horizon Europe.
Organised by the António Xavier Institute of Chemical and Biological Technology at NOVA University Lisbon (ITQB NOVA) and with the support of Oeiras City Council, the event brought together researchers from more than 40 institutions.
The presence of iRead4Skills aligned perfectly with the theme of the 2024 edition, which promoted the inclusion of underrepresented audiences and the role of civil society in science.
The European Corner was one of the main meeting points between the public and scientists, providing an environment for exchanging knowledge and experiences. In addition, the event offered a vast programme of scientific demonstrations, workshops, exhibitions and cultural activities, consolidating the European Researchers’ Night as a unique opportunity for interaction between science and society.
