iRead4Skills Welcomes Experts to Its Advisory Board

The iRead4Skills announces the formation of its Advisory Board, consisting of renowned experts from various fields. Comprising individuals who bring extensive knowledge and experience, the board will play a vital role in providing guidance and facilitating decision-making processes throughout the project.

One of the distinguished members of the Advisory Board is Luís Rothes, the Coordinator of the Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC) by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Portugal. With a deep understanding of adult competencies, Rothes’s expertise will be invaluable in shaping the direction of iRead4Skills. His involvement highlights the project’s commitment to incorporating best practices and aligning with international standards in promoting literacy skills.

Joining Rothes is João Queirós, the Subcoordinator of PIAAC at OECD in Portugal. Queirós brings a wealth of experience in assessing adult competencies and will contribute his insights to the iRead4Skills project. His expertise in education and data analysis will aid in developing evidence-based strategies to enhance reading skills among adult students.

Cäcilia Märki, the Head of Basic Skills Department from SVEB FSEA in Switzerland, has also joined iRead4Skills’ Advisory Board. As an expert in basic skills and competency development, Märki’s knowledge will contribute significantly to the project’s mission. With a focus on promoting adult basic skills, her insights will help ensure that iRead4Skills aligns with the needs of adult learners in various contexts.

By assembling a team of experts from diverse backgrounds, the project aims to benefit from their collective wisdom and multidimensional perspectives. Their valuable input will contribute to the project’s overall strategy, ensuring that it remains aligned with best practices and responsive to the evolving needs of educators and learners.
